Praise for Lifeline:

“I’ve played many games that I find engrossing, but Lifeline may be one of the first that changed the way I thought about my daily routine, which leapt off the screen and became a part of my lived experience.” - Eli Cymet, Gamezebo

“For a few brief hours I cared – really cared – about the fate of a completely fictional character. I don’t think any other game I’ve played has made me feel that way before.” - Matt Thrower, PocketGamer

I've been a fan of this type of game for a few years. I guess unfortunately for me, I'm a sound designer, so I notice all the horrible choices the sound design makes. They sample one of the most common (and free) monster moans that contains digital artifacting and disortion. Then they repeat it again and again and again seemingly despite what the protagonist does. I'd like to just focus on the story. But between that and the grammatical errors... I wish they put more effort into this.

As someone who heavily enjoys both the 'texting with someone' gameplay mechanic and choose your own story genre, I loved it. It was spooky, it was tense, and more or less felt like you were getting to know another person. The story is great, I found myself thinking a lot about Wynn between responses from her. The waits can feel like forever even if they are only a few seconds, but I feel like that drew me in more rather than annoyed me.

Very fun. Waiting for her to get back from what she is doing is deliciously painful at times. I hope she is ok!! One problem I do have is with the notifications. They seem to show up as silent notifications, even though I have it set on my phone for sound. No popup notification or anything so I have to keep checking back and that gets boring. If it is a problem on my end, I appreciate any suggestions for a solution. If it is on your side, then please fix it soon. Thank you.
