App modes:
Study
You can get familiar with each category of words to get ready for the following test. Each and every English word is combined with a picture that helps to visualize the word, as well as the vocalization and transcription for proper pronunciation.

Test
You pick out the word that corresponds to the picture out of four given options.
Three words sound or are written similarly to the correct word, which makes guessing difficult.

Puzzle
Out of given letters, you need to make up the correct writing of the word that translates a picture. This mode of testing helps to consolidate the spelling of English words.

Sprint
During a period of 30 seconds, you try to define the right and wrong translation of a picture with “tick” and “criss-cross” buttons.

English words are divided into these categories: transport, clothes, dishes, food, city, animals, colors, forms, numerals, fruits, drinks, birds, insects, professions, airport, vegetables, sport, electronics, house, cosmetics, toys, bathroom, body, nature.

Duh, the app doesn't bring anything new to the table. You can find so many free to use sites that do the same thing. Don't get me wrong, the phonetic transcriptions are good, the app interface is pretty simple but really bare, and the vocabulary is pretty useful, but all that doesn't match what the app name says, as it's mainly aimed at people with very narrow vocab. That's what my impression is after using it for a couple of minutes. There is nothing challenging for advanced speakers.

The developer asked that I try the new version. I have added a pity star to recognise their effort. For an app that is meant to be teaching the British dialect of English, it STILL contains American words (despite developer claims), some words are just completely wrong, some confuse group names and object names, many images are misleading, many images are of American items that look different in the UK (such as the taxis, fire engine, police cars etc). A minor improvement, but still a bad option

Please try a new version of the app. Over 30 words have been corrected to their British version. And the entire transcription is now in line with the British accent, as is the new voice of the voice acting.

Th Let me help just a little. This app is not for most citizens of the USA. It could work for foreigners like immigrants. Here is some info. I would find people to speak in your app for more dilects sounds. Try some words from several dilects in a sentence and show people what they sound like and why so many Americans love the English dialects. There are around 40 dialects in England. Here are a few. Have fun... 1. Scottish 2. Geordie 3. Scouse 4. Yorkshire 5. Welsh 6. Brummie
